Notable Achievements in 2020

The participation of National Taipei University of Business (“NTUB”) in the 2020 Higher Education SPROUT Project was oriented toward the development goals of the institution and based on academic research and analytical needs, which ultimately led to three foundations for the project: innovative teaching, digitalization, and career development. The project has been implemented in the following directions:

A. Preparation of talents in three areas:

We aim at training students with cross-field expertise and critical thinking skills, students with innovative digital application skills, and students seeking public engagement with humanitarian literacy.

B.Assistance for the underprivileged:

We have enhanced assistance for the economically underprivileged and culturally underrepresented students using nine tailored mechanisms of counseling, as well as 17 categories of financial aid.

C. Care for society:

We progressively fuse academia and society by integrating our courses into the workplace. We have diversified the uses of historic industrial sites in Pingxi and advocated for an organic youth farmers’ identification system in Wanli, Tamsui, and Shimen. Meanwhile, we have enhanced the career development awareness of underprivileged youths and promoted knowledge about the taxation system and the environment.
